Read for Wombats 2013

At Hamilton Island State School we are focused and committed to improving all students’ reading results.  During the month of May, Hamilton Island State School formed a partnership with the Hamilton Island Wildlife Park to run a Read-A-Thon to raise money for Animal Welfare Australia. Well done to all students who participated and read as many books as they could during the month of May. Congratulations to Taniesha Derry for raising the most money and winning the rights to name a newly born Koala and spend a day as a park ranger. Thank you to the Wildlife Park and Paul Findlay for their consistent support and creating such a fantastic concept. Well done to all students who participated and received a prize. You should all be very proud of your efforts!
